Our Dance Styles

Salsa Cubana

Salsa Cubana is a lively and rhythmic style of salsa dance that originated in Cuba. It’s known for its circular movement, where dancers move in a circular pattern around each other, often creating a fun, dynamic flow. The dance typically involves a lot of body movement and hip action, with the leader and follower exchanging turns and spins. Salsa Cubana incorporates some elements of Cuban music, giving it a distinctive, upbeat, and energetic feel. The steps are simple to learn but can be modified to add flair and style as dancers become more experienced.

Bachata

Bachata is a style of social dance from the Dominican Republic which is now danced all over the world. Bachata can be danced in different styles, but it’s always about connecting with your partner and having fun!

Bachata Sensual

It is characterized by its slower, more fluid movements, and its emphasis on connection and intimacy between partners. More focus on the different bodymovements as waves and body isolations.

Bachata Dominican

The Original Dominican Bachata is today danced all over the Caribbean, now also faster in accordance to faster music, adding more footwork, turns/figures and rhythmic free style moves and with alternate between close and open position (more playful adding footwork, turns/figures, rhythmic torso etc.)

Urban Kizomba

Urban Kizomba is a modern and stylish dance that blends traditional Kizomba from Angola with influences from urban and hip-hop dance styles. It’s a smooth, sensual dance often performed in a close embrace, where the leader guides the follower through fluid movements and body waves. The music is slow and rhythmic, with a strong focus on the connection between partners. Urban Kizomba incorporates more dynamic footwork and creative variations compared to traditional Kizomba, giving it a contemporary feel. It’s all about expressing emotion and rhythm while staying connected with your partner.
